I love the simple halter cut from which the skirt flows to the ground

swoops over and up to end in a huge ruffle of fabric on one hip

What I lvoe most about them though is the fact that they are semi-transparent and left unlined except for a built in "hot pants" at the very top of them

During this time period India held a great fascination as it opened to the Western world

Silk from this period was some of the finest in the world and this one is no exception. The silk has a slight sheen to it and a is covered with a bold green, red and black checked plaid pattern that is a fantastic. The waist band is fitted and the cut skims over the hips and then at the hem has a wide 10" ruffle that gives it the perfect finish. Really pretty and chic. Excellent
