I love the banding worked into the pattern that defines the hem and waist area

The outer overlay slips on and closes at the back with a series of snaps and buttons at the back of the neck

It is pretty opaque so could easily be worn as a dress

The very occasional broken metal thread (the worst of which I photoed) but this is extremely minor and does not detract or mar the wearabilty

It has Elinor Simmons name on the label as well who was a young designer that Malcolm brought in to the company to design a higher end line for him in 1965. She eventually left in 1972 giving us a window within to date her work for the label from. Everything about this dress suggest the 1960s. I have had versions of this dress before in a shorter length but I truly love this skirt length that would fall
