It was made under the creative direction of Alexander McQueen. The dress is made from a purple bias cut silk and you can see the inspiration that the cut and fabric draws from the thirties and forties in its cut. Wide straps curve over the shoulders and extend down into a front plunge. The silk is gathered into a centre knot at the base of the plunge. It appears that at
