It is still sound and wearable as is and since I believe it is the original lining I chose to leave it as is and priced it accordingly

The main body of the cap is made from gold lame lace that sits over a semi sheer layer of gold lame. This has oxidized over time to a deep bronze color. Ringing this pretty top portion is a wide band of hand embroidered real metallic thread in a copper and gold it is tightly done so the effect is that the band is fully covered.
