Antique Victorian Scottish Horseshoe Brooch Silver Circa 1860 Antique Necklaces Maker’s initials (MThis beautiful antique Scottish horseshoe brooch was made during the mid Victorian era (Circa 1860). Its modelled in silver and inlaid with Aberdeen Granite pieces which have distinct patterning and a lovely, earthy pink and grey colouring. The Horseshoe has long been a symbol of good luck and became a popular image in Victorian jewellery when there was an increase in superstition. Its remained in excellent condition and is a great collectors piece.
