The cup is beautifully decorated around the exterior with a very intricate continuous Greco Roman frieze style scene of tritons wielding tridents flanking a large scallop shell, adorned with foliate scrollwork. Above and below the mural style scene is a band of applied raised white enamel. The cup is in excellent overall
