It is made from a green and brown heavy houndstooth wool fabric from Independent Harris Tweed Producers (IHTP). IHTP was an upstart that challenged the Harris Tweed Authority (HTA) for a few years before they were sued and lost in court, eventually disappearing from the market. However, their quality was on par with the original Harris Tweed.
