Santiago Island 2 flowers Through my art2025, Collage with Linoblock and Screenprint Elements on Cotton Rag Paper. 14. 75 x 11 inches Visiting Santiago Island in the Galapagos was like stepping onto another planet, where surreal black lava stretches endlessly in every direction. The lava on the island is old as 750,000 years. I became fascinated by the swirls and ropey textures left behind by once molten rock. Through a completely natural process, the lava destroyed everything in its path.
