LifeLines Autumn Conference 2025

Join us for a powerful and thought-provoking event as LifeLines hosts our October conference online and in person, bringing together members and supporters.

We’re honoured to welcome two remarkable speakers:

Juan Melendez – Juan spent over 17 years on death row in Florida for a crime he did not commit. Now a speaker with Witness to Innocence, he shares his deeply personal story of wrongful conviction, resilience, and the urgent need for change. Read more about Juan

Penelope Gibbs – Founder of Transform Justice, Penelope works to make the justice system fairer and more humane. Her insights into criminal justice in the UK are vital for anyone interested in reform. Read more about Penelope

As supporters of LifeLines core mission to support and befriend people on death row this event speaks directly to the heart of what we do. Juan’s story offers a rare and personal glimpse into the lived experience of death row, reminding us why our letters — and our solidarity — matter. Penelope’s perspective challenges us to consider how systems can be changed for the better, both abroad and at home.

We strongly recommend you book in advance.  However you may pay on the door as long as there are still places available.

If you’re attending on Zoom, you’ll receive confirmation of your Zoom registration and joining details by email, about a week before the conference.  We’ll also provide Zoom registration for people who’ve booked to attend in person and provided an email address, just in case you’re unable to be there at short notice.

Refunds will only be payable if the conference is cancelled.

Please note: the event will not be recorded by LifeLines and must not be recorded by any participants. Recording without the consent of those taking part is illegal, and consent has not been given. We will take legal action against anyone who records the event.
