LifeLines Autumn Conference 2022

LifeLines Virtual Autumn Conference 2022

Saturday 8th October 2022, 10.30am

Important update: This event will now take place on Zoom only. The conference will now be free to all attendees, as our previous Zoom-only events have been, and we hope that taking this step will make it more affordable and accessible to more people at this time of particular financial and logistical challenges.

Everyone who has booked and paid to either attend in person or on Zoom will have their admission fee refunded (please allow us time to do this).

We’re honoured to welcome Herman Lindsey, who spent three years on Florida’s death row as an innocent man wrongfully convicted of robbery and murder, as our US guest speaker. Details of the UK speaker will be circulated as soon as confirmed. Both speakers will be happy to answer questions.

We also welcome Andy West as our second speaker at the LifeLines conference on Saturday 8th October 2022.  Andy is the author of The Life Inside: A Memoir of Prison, Family and Philosophy (Picador 2022), which has received hugely favourable reviews.

During his childhood Andy’s dad, brother and uncle served time in prison, and today he teaches philosophy in prisons, including HMP Pentonville, HMP Belmarsh, HMP Downview and YOI Feltham.  Andy’s writing has been published in The Guardian, Aeon, 3AM Magazine, Huck and Litro.
